What better way to show their nerdy following (and that’s not a digg- jocks ruled school but nerds boss the real world) that they are still in touch with the yout’; a new video promoting their latest single making reference to past youtube viral characters- no surprise then the video has had millions of hits already.
Clever really; launch a viral video utilising enough past references for it to be more than just a tip of the cap acknowledgment- a full blown homage to the whole culture of video sharing sites giving people reason to post and talk about it generating the “buzz” that nearly every client under the sun wants today- no amount of digital strategising can substitute for just a ruddy good idea. A catchy tune helps too.
