The power of that there interweb thingy…

… this has just got to be the best thing I’ve read this year! It is an article written by one of the Junior Reporters on a local Cheshire news website and has stirred up a huge storm online within the Pride Park fraternity. I was browsing the Derby County messageboards and saw a post I had to take a look at (a very lively community by the by). Just brilliant on so many levels, not least the for the banter the poor lad receives, and labelled “Sherminator” due to his resemblance to the American Pie character. A complete character and professional assasination… all online and within a few hours of publishing. And it’s certainly not the first or last time this will happen. Poor saps. Probably justifies my zero conversation policy on here then… certainly not practising what I preach to clients but serves to highlight how important it is to listen first, be completely transparent in your motives, provide decent content and finally be totally committed to the conversation. Both these articles would not have been as nearly as amusing had they been honest up front, committed to following up with open dialogue and really offered insightful content. Job’s a good’un.
